The Enterprise Architecture (EA) team is comprised of architects covering the Entire Eco system: Business, Data, Application, Technology and Security (DBATS)- Enterprise Architects- Application and Solution ArchitectsThe EA team at AIM is designing and driving the implementation of a new Next Generation healthcare pre-authorization utilization management application and platform for AIM. This Micro Service domain and event driven architecture will enable our business to deliver faster capabilities to market.The EA team is also driving the implementation and adoption of organizing the AIM EA eco system. This includes business Drivers and Goals; business capabilities (back office and customer facing), workflows and value chains; Data ecosystems; applications (back office and customer facing); technology and infrastructure. This AIM eco system is defined and documented in an EA tool - IServer. This allows all facets of the system to have relationships - driving impact analysis from the Business goals and capabilities thru infrastructure. This is not a static capability but a living dynamic that the Business (leaders, sales, back office, PMO) and IT (architects, data/developers, infrastructure) update and use. To correctly implement and maintain this eco system in IServer it requires an established Governance organization to establish rules and policy oversight. Additionally Responsibilities:- The EA team has governance over all Technologies purchases, validating resources are used within the IT guidelines; reducing application duplication and risk.- The EA team performs Proof of concepts (POC) and Proof of Technology (POT) for all new technology or new patterns.Chief Architect governs the following:- Architecture Review Board: Reviews and approves all designs, Strategies and standards- Enterprise Architecture Governance Committee: creates and monitors working groups across BDATS- Technology Domain working group: sets the priority IT priority

Led a team of Enterprise and Solution architects across the following domain areas:- Member (patients)- Provider (doctors and healthcare professionals)- Clinical and Services- Shared Services- Integration- Data- Claims matcher- Enterprise warehouse (matrix)- Security (matrix)The team is designing and driving the implementation of a new Next Generation healthcare pre-authorization utilization management application and platform for AIM.

Led the Enterprise Architecture team, Database and ETL teams, and the Enterprise Reporting team.Led team of Solution architects across the following Domains:- Integration- Clinical (Epic)- Ancillary Medical Systems- Data Security- Back Office Systems- Data -Defined and setup the Enterprise architecture frameowk, which the domain areas were core to that framework.- Defined architecture design templates that provided consistent views and implementation, leaning heavily on TOGAF as our guide.Created a SharePoint site which peovided a point and click enterface where each domain area in the framework provided the: Guiding princliples, as defined by the Chief Architect, which is then attached to each:- Design (patterns)- Standard- Guideline- Checklist- Risk profile across domain areas.This process assured the integrity, durability and security of each design implemented. And when those attributes were not met, the technical debt was captured via a waiver process.Led the DBA and ETL teamThe DBA team manages: Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server and Mongo databases across the entire data ecosystem.- Defined implementation standards, guidelines and checklist across each database area- Overight of design of the new Enterprise datawarehouse implemented in SQL server. The datawarehouse was built to support thr Quality team, Finance and Supply chain, as well as others areas of the University of Chicago Medical Center.The ETL Team manages daily and nightly ETL jobs via Data Stage and SSIS. The ETL feeds data to various databases and flatfiles across the data ecosystem.Led the Enterprise Reporting teamThe Enterprise reporting team supported:- Reporting as a Service (you define we build) - - - Self service reporting (we provide Business Intelligence capability to each user and they implement). - The team supports Business Objects, EPIC Clarity, and Tableau. - Reporting is used by all Lines of Business at UCMC.

Divisional Vice President for the Data, Analytics and Customers solutions (DACS) organization. Drives the Data Ecosystem strategy. This includes leading the data warehouse eco system design and delivery; the Walgreens Enterprise Services Bus and customer/location/product/vendor mastering implementations; and Customer based solutions (e.g. loyalty program) delivery for Walgreens business units - integrating data and analytics solutions. This also includes implementing the Big Data (Hadoop) solution to support customer affinity and segment marketing to find/predict the best customer and provide the best offers; as well as to support patient wellness and outcomes. His organization delivered over 100+ small and big projects this past year, including re-platforming the Enterprise Data Warehouse in Teradata. With his business partners, he leads the data and analytic strategy driving Walgreens to become a Highly Data driven Analytical organization.
