I'm a software engineer at Direct Supply. I have over 5 years of internship experience + 1 year of full-time experience as well as various personal team-based project experience. I have a variety of skills in Python, C#, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Being the eldest of four and the first in my family to be raised in America it was always very important for me to do well and set a good example for my younger siblings. Because of this, I was always driven to work hard and try my best. Early on in high school, I found that I really enjoyed computer programming. The limitless capabilities and applications of software development fascinated me. It didn't take long for me to begin working on my own personal projects. I began by creating video games in C# using the Unity engine and slowly built up my programming knowledge from there. By my junior year of high school, I had already taken and passed every offered programming course and began looking for an internship. In a couple of months, I found it. I was given the opportunity to intern as a software developer for iit/Sourcetech working with others to create software to assist nursing homes around the world with budget monitoring, meal planning, and food delivery.By the time I reached my senior year of high school I already knew what I wanted to do. I applied to MSOE knowing that they had one of the best software engineering programs in the midwest. Since then I've learned much both from my courses at MSOE and my time interning at iit/Sourcetech. I've had the ability to be a part of many projects which have made the lives of others easier and safer such as the Semester Transition Advising Tool which was created by me and 3 other developers to assist advisors in determining courses for students who will switch to MSOE's semester system and need a completely different set of courses and the Modem Activating Warning System which was created in cooperation with TAPCO inc. to increase the range and reliability of their sensor activated road signs making the roads safer for drivers.All of these team-based experiences, along with my internship experience, have given me the opportunity to continually grow and become a talented developer with a wide array of both technical and interpersonal skills. I look forward to continue making the world a better place for others using my software engineering skills.
