I develop firmware for bio metric sensors. My most recent project was working as developer and technical lead of a cryptographically secure message protocol channel connecting a sensor via SPI to an external processor.

The following activities were performed indirectly (via Tri-Star Design) and directly as an independent contractor.Distributed application with Android smartphone user interfaceThe application pulls together distributed resources in the Internet & Cloud. Aspects of the application include: Internet database access; invocation of Internet and WiFi remote resources; Android based application to provide a GUI with significant database and data management components. SW technologies employed include: Java; C++; JSON; Android UI objects; TCP/IP and WiFi communication using sockets and Android network objects; use of cloud based objects.Embedded TCP/IP based firmware applicationDesign and development responsibility for an embedded firmware networking application for major US electronics/aerospace company. The firmware provided a TCP/IP application based on a Microchip Inc. microcontroller using Microchip Harmony library software and MPLAB X IDE and toolset. The firmware application was implemented in C. Also provided was PC based software including a Java GUI and Visual C/C++ Winsock programs for the purposes of test and configuration of the firmware application. All customer requirements including critical performance requirements were met/exceeded.Low power wireless applicationA project to gather real time data from traducers distributed in a work site environment. The data is sent over wireless to a Linux PC which provides a network server to allow remote processing and monitoring of the data including sending alarms to avert seriious problems.
