I drove a Semi-Dump delivering Sand and Gravel to various jobs as dictated by necessity. I lost my job because I was told that I was driving a leased truck, and they had lost the lease on the truck. That truck was never off the road. It was a UNION thing, or NON UNION thing. It was a blessing in disguise as this place never required DOT physicals, never required DOT inspections on trucks. The whole time I was there, NO ONE ever was requested to take a Urinalysis, and I know for a fact that 2, 3 or more of the drivers would have tested dirty etc..... They also required you to drive HEAVY loads, and if you refused, they gave you crappy loads. I am a professional and started to stir the pot, and therefore, they lost the lease on the truck???? Primary responsibility was delivering fresh loads of concrete mix, to job sites or homeowners jobs. Occasionally I would drive a Semi Dump Truck delivering Sand and Gravel. I lost my job, along with about 25 other drivers after we finished the Tollway widening project on Dec. 2009. The economy dictated that the company cut back on drivers, and from what I understand, they only have 5 drivers on the roster. When I was hired in 2000, I was driver number 75. Times got real tough...

Company went out of business. I drove a tractor/trailer combination vehicle for them. Trailers ranged in length from 24, 32, 35, 40, 42, 48 to 53 feet. I worked locally and my prime job was pick-up/delivery, peddling freight.
