In addition upgrading IT billing systems and education the revenue cycle staff on the new processes. •Develop a physician portal for the Medical Staff, physicians can now access their patients records remotely & electronically sign their records. This contributed to the reduction of the DNFB and increased cash flow through timely billing along with instituting a documentation specialist program for physicians.• Reduced operating expenses $3.5 million over a two year period through a new GPO contract, new supplier contracts and the standardization of supply purchasing. •Created & chaired the Hospital’s wide Value Analysis Committee to standardize supplies. •Successfully developed and implemented strategic and operational plans for the finance department that addressed the mission, medical staff development issues (Physician Portal), HIPPA, charity care and patient access.•Developed daily dashboards to assist department managers in the operation of their cost centers.
