Soon moved into management of entire shift (25 crewmembers) and eventually became manager of entire production area. After approximately 3 years I was asked to move in to the customer service department. Starting as the senior accounts expeditor I soon moved into a mgmt roll. Working in this department for 2 years I was then promoted to the purchasing/planning department where I was asked to take over the Asian after-market group and held that position for the remainder of my career with Motorola.
