Working closely with the Joint Staff, created architecture documents for projects to get funding approval via the DoD acquisition process, working to a critical timeline. Software Support Activity Architecture Team Lead working with a mixed group of contractors and civilian government workers based in California, Maryland, and Virginia to provide design documentation for multiple projects. Implementation Lead for the Common CBRN Sensor Interface Standard (CCSI). I wrote the version 1.1 standard and led its passage through the signature cycle to adoption. Worked with equipment manufacturers to implement the standard on their devices.

Responsible for complete cycle from capturing customer requirements through design, implementation, system integration, and test plans and test reports. This is the core product line in the company’s $50 million in annual sales.

Software generated in DOS / Windows environment for embedded x86 and DSP targets. Held position of Project Lead for six person team responsible for design ground-to-air VHF transceiver for voice and data communications. Radio used Ethernet control for multiple users to communicate with multiple aircraft via a modified HDLC LAPB protocol. Wrote specification for Ethernet interface of VHF ground-to-air radio. Hired and supervised the contractor tasked with writing interface software. Worked with Senior Scientist to design and implement upgrades on control and DSP software for HF, VHF, and UHF radios.Sole engineer performing hardware and software design of interface controller for third-party antenna tuner.Provided Software design and implementation for linked controller of RF amplifier.
