This often includes travelling to a customer's site to evaluate their needs and report findings back to organization.• Research new product applications and industry standards that need to be met.• Design and source/create prototypes, including additive manufacturing • Develop test plan and oversee testing of products to established internal and external testing standards; UL, CSA, ANSI, CE. Conduct testing as needed.• Source and approve domestic and international component suppliers.• Define, implement, and document internal manufacturing process for product.• Interface with regulatory bodies, (UL and CSA,) for testing and listing of product. Signatory for UL projects.• Provide financials of product for Management team including product cost, capital outlay, return on investment, contribution margin, etc.• Supervise project progression to ensure all gating requirements are met.• Facilitate post-mortem meetings upon completion of project. Identify areas of product development which were a success and those where improvements can be made.
