In this role I led client experience- from the onboarding process to celebrating big wins. I was able to manage many accounts where I led client communication and project management.

As Development and Communications Specialist, I managed fundraising tasks, built the major gift program, assisted with building our communication materials, and led integration into the CRM, Salesforce. I also supported the Board through helping the Board's Design and Construction Committee with administration and planning.

As Development Assistant for Des Moines Performing Arts, I primarily managed daily gift processing and acknowledging. That includes being responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of donor data entry in Tessitura, personally thanking donors, answering questions about contributions, and sending out acknowledgment letters. Other assignments included assisting our Development Manager on annual giving tasks, working to further sustained giving, and assisting with donor events, such as our donor lounge during shows.

Menlo Park, California

While interning at Menlo's acclaimed chamber music festival and institute for two months with the summer intern program, I gained valuable experience in development and special events. My core responsibilities included reaching out for in-kind donations, managing donor event invites in the database system, donor research, and staffing many donor events. Other job responsibilities included organizing premium seating, working concessions, coordinating gifts for board members, and sending out donor reports to our Artistic Directors.

As the Student Digital Content Specialist, I assisted the Office of College Advancement with digital content and social media initiatives with the goal to build a strong online community for Simpson alumni.

I made strategic phone calls to Simpson alums to connect, talk about Simpson, and ask for financial gifts.

-Researching community needs and developing community partnerships through planning a new program called SPARK-Learning about grant writing and research while compiling a large amount of grant information for the grant writer.

I worked with the Executive Director of Ballet Des Moines to develop and manage the ballet's presence in the community, Through this job I gained experience in non-profits, management for performing arts, grants/donations managment, and effective press releases. I also learned and worked with GiftWorks software. Other tasks included sorting through and archiving old newspaper and magazine articles, sitting in on meetings, and organizing/cleaning storage areas.

-Operates cash register and scans products-Assists customers however needed efficiently and in a friendly manner.
