I am a cardiothoracic surgeon with special knowledge in the field of mechanical circulatory support (ventricular assist devices) and surgery for acquired heart disease (adult cardiac surgery). My editorial experience in peer reviewed journals includes the Annals of Thoracic Surgery (editorial board), the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation (editorial board) and the ASAIO Journal (section editor and past ASAIO President).
