A passion for wine led to a career. After 20 of sipping and sniffing I ventured into the wine field. Then I spent 2 years in the West Point Market wine shop consulting with customers and learning the finer points of the wine business. Wanting to learn the retail in of wine, I ventured into the large chain retail market with Giant Eagle as a Wine Steward. I then moved to their Market District store in Green where I garnered a rather large following and started the '6for6', which was bringing in over 300 people every Friday night for the 4 years. I realized that wine consulting is all about customer service. It's learning your customers tastes and helping them discover what's new. That led me back to West Point Market as Director of Wine. Now I’ve started a new chapter as the Category Manager for Wine, Beer, and Cheese at the Mustard Seed Market & Cafe chain. We have three stores. Our flagship store in Montrose, a store in Solon, and our newest store in Highland Square. My specialty is wine/food pairing. Let me know what's for dinner and I'll suggest the perfect wine. I also have a business called CarpeVinum. I do wine pairings, dinners, and education in private homes or businesses.
