CurrentDirect compliance with federal and state EHS regulations for $500 MM commercial redevelopment company, including CAA, CWA/NPDES, RCRA, CERCLA, DOT and OSHA regulations.Conduct multi-media EHS audits to assure regulatory compliance and alignment with corporate standards and policies. Negotiate $5 MM in NPDES, subaqueous, and RCRA permits with requisite regulatory bodies.Lead and manage all legislative/regulatory activity, including fiscal/budget, environmental, land use/zoning, resource management, health care, energy, hotel/hospitality, and transportation issues. Cultivate and capitalize on diverse, bipartisan relationships with municipal, county, State, and federal officials to secure corporate public policy objectives. Facilitate development of integral, sustained relationships between corporate team and key legislators and governmental officials.Design and lead comprehensive planning processes with municipalities to assess strategic opportunities and secure long-term redevelopment goals.Lead enactment and ongoing implementation of municipal "mixed use" redevelopment ordinance w/ relaxed bulk standards consistent with Smart Growth principles.Turnaround agent for controversial $50 MM mixed-use Hyatt Place Hotel, condominium, and commercial redevelopment resort project along Atlantic coastline. Reversed governmental and community opposition, forging new relationships among stakeholders.Coordinate innovative, non-traditional project management of all engineering and legal documents attendant to “Land Cube” redevelopment. Develop and negotiate easements, amenities and access agreements b/w condominium owners, hotel guests, and retail/restaurant clientele.Conduct environmental due diligence for $40 MM corporate acquisitions and divestitures over past decade. Lead project management of multiple “brownfields” sites to assess, remediate, and return $5 MM contaminated parcels to active commercial and retail use.
