Bill Murphy OverviewI experienced the corporate world for more than thirty years in a mid and upper level management capacity. Much of my work involved interaction with state and local government officials covering a 14 state area. It is here, dealing with day to day conflicts that I learned the power of positive negotiation, mediation and self-directed conflict resolution.I attained my Alternate Dispute Resolution Certification from University College, University of Denver in 1998, and have been practicing as a mediator and facilitator ever since. My focus is on neighborhood concerns such as zoning, property disputes and nuisance issues. I am a member of Community Mediation Concepts, a team of mediator/facilitators that work through the City of Denver, Office of the Independent Monitor, to aid in bringing understanding between citizens and police officers where complaints have been filed. I am also an associate with Zinn Mediation, a mediation group focusing on training, mediation, and facilitation within the business and non-profit community. I also own a sales and use tax consulting business and am a proven negotiator. I believe deeply in being a contributing member to the community and have served as the President of the Board of Directors for The Conflict Center, an organization devoted to reducing levels of physical and verbal violence through teaching conflict resolution skills. I am currently serving as a Board member and senior trainer and guide for Foresight Ski guides, an organization which provides challenge recreation to the visually impaired.Specialties: Mediation, facilitation
