Employed as a Civil Construction Manager with Sitzler I was appointed the Contractors Representative and Project Manager for the Tiger Brennan and Berrimah Road Overpass project in the Northern Territory. This project is the largest road and bridge infrastructure project built in the metropolitan region of NT as an improvement to the flow of heavy haulage vehicles from the East Arm development and Darwin Port while ensuring fast uninterrupted flow of traffic from Palmerston to Darwin.The value of the project was in the order of $160m and was a Risk Adjusted Maximum Price contract between Sitzler, Territory and Federal Government.

As the Civil Operations Manager my role was to re-establish a civil division within Western Australia following the acquisition in QLD of a small civil company TMM Group in 2018. Reporting to the Managing Director and part of the Senior Management Team in the last 2 years I was lucky enough to have a very challenging and fulfilling role in the Northern Territory. I was in charge of relocating our WA business into the NT for the first time managing all aspects from sourcing office location, HR recruitment drive, Sub-contractor engagement, client introductions and delivery of a $55m Housing development within the Bellamack area. As a Project Manager in the metropolitan area of Perth I was responsible for multiple projects for multidiscipline companies including Cedarwoods, PEET, Fremantle Port Authority, LWP, Balderstone, local councils and private developers.The role was to ensure all projects commenced with a detailed schedule and budget, all resources were sourced and allocated (plant and personnel, subcontractors and suppliers) and that the safety requirements and standards were set to meet all expectations. Performance was measured, monitored and reported to ensure that the business was informed of any fluctuations. HSQE and Indigenous engagement had KPI metrics to ensure the overall business met its targets. Project demobilisations and close out reports were compiled to ensure we communicated the wins, losses and lessons learned to the business in order to not repeat mistakes and to capture the value of any innovations and new processes.

Supervising sites with up to 80 – 100 staff and the equipment to deliver large Earthworks, Roadworks and Civil infrastructure projects. Ensuring the project schedule was adhered to with milestones achieved or bettered and zero injury on the projects.Maximising the utilization of plant to deliver target productions in the shortest duration while maintaining safe operating guidelines and maintenance. KPI’s relating to HSQE targets were delivered by creating a culture on the sites of consistent reporting and personal awareness for their own accountability
