Bill Pollock co-founded Velocity Distribution Company in Austin, Texas in 2016.Before co-founding Velocity, Bill has been involved in several different entrepreneurial pursuits, all of which were a product of his original vision and creation.He graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa earning a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College where he also played quarterback on three consecutive Ivy League Championship football teams and received his juris doctorate from the University of Virginia. He practiced law for five (5) years in Dallas, served as General Counsel for a large independent oil and gas company for 2 years and then founded Hanover Energy which grew to over 250 employees and acquired United Gas Pipeline (one of the 10 largest gas pipelines in the country) with over $2.0 billion in assets and 1,700 employees. As CEO, Bill orchestrated the reorganization of United and ultimate successful sale of the pipeline to Koch Industries.Bill subsequently co-founded USA Compression, a “start-up” gas compression services provider which today is one of the largest companies of its kind and traded on the New York Stock Exchange.Other ventures include the development of a unique directors and officers liability insurance policy specifically targeted for independent directors in the aftermath of the Enron demise in which their directors were held personally liable because of a lack of a properly designed D&O policy for the independent directors.Bill most recently formed a business advisory firm which led to his involvement in the alcohol distribution business and creation of Velocity. Bill also assisted in the formation of Bottoms Up Cocktails, a start-up producer of premium ready-to-drink cocktails.
