This included building, modifying, and using excel models throughout the process of selling a business. Furthermore, I helped put together useful graphs, tables, and lists of information to further the client's understand the sale process and so that the Managing Directors can quickly understand the current circumstances of a market or company.

I worked closely with senior employees to analyze data sets and provide useful reports for further decision making. These data sets focused around current property performance and expected returns of potential acquisitions. In evaluating current assets, I worked to interpret data into meaningful patterns and draw conclusions as to how change operations to maximize profits and track the results of those changes. In addition, I looked at overall market trends, performance indicators, and potential revenues from individual properties. After extensive research, I would compile my findings and present them to my boss, following up on owner contact information for the ones he liked the most. Overall, the experience gave me great exposure to the management of real assets and the decision-making process for purchasing assets, regardless of class.

Alongside upper officers of the real estate management company, I ensured that all apartments under management were ready for new occupants. Over the course of two months, we evaluated over 200 units for necessary improvements, potential for upgrade to a higher pricing class, and completion of detailing so that the next residents can have the optimum experience while the owner gets the most profit out of the property. Because I went to each location and saw the numbers behind the operation, I gained a sound understanding for what made a valuable property and what details meant the most. In the end, this valuable insight to the Austin real estate market allowed me to value properties more accurately.

I assisted the accountant track approved and submitted purchase orders, packages, with received invoices, and issue checks. In addition, I talked to department leaders and called vendors when there was an issue arising in the delivered products and invoiced amount. I also helped ensure the correct amount for each check we sent out was put in front of the controller and CFO such that there were no underpaid or overpaid creditors. Though this was very formulaic work, I took the challenge on enthusiastically and learned a great amount about the business environment and what sort of work my talents may be suited for from talked to the full time employees.
