This was a US-based startup for a large Ukrainian outsourcing company. Provided support for the sales team then moved into the finance and administration role. Performed all accounting and HR duties, and lost a lot of sleep trying to explain to Corporate Finance in Ukraine that we don’t lie to the IRS.

Fort Myers, Florida Area

I was brought in to help the CFO with a customer profitability analysis. And, of course, budgeting and forecasting. I took the monthly reporting deck for the Board and streamlined the process, improving accuracy and reducing the time for preparation from 2 weeks to 4 days. This was also the first time I had to terminate an employee.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area

This was a cool job. I was the lead project manager over a $12.5M redevelopment of the website for the Atlantis on Paradise Island, Bahamas. I managed over 30 developers from multiple departments, and coordinated with the web development team in New York City. The website had to integrate with call management, airline booking systems, the hotel booking system, phone systems, etc. We finished on time and within budget.

Greater Atlanta Area

I worked on a team that managed the integration of software and hardware projects into the IHG data center. We established timelines and estimates for all the groups at the data center and had to deal with changing priorities daily. I also worked with Purchasing and Asset Management to facilitate the ordering and receiving of equipment to eliminate redundancy and reduce overspending. I wore lots of hats, and was able to make the job what I wanted it to be.

A former director at SeaLand asked me to manage the software integration of the HighwayMaster product into client-based systems (UNIX, AS400, etc.) Under my supervision, the integration customer base grew from five to over 100 in a six month period. I also had to educate sales, customer service, and tech support on the different integration products.

I provided accounting and finance support for the North America Rail Division. Utilizing my contacts at GM, I was able to help resolve $3M in outstanding receivables.

I had 2 different careers at EDS. I started in the Accounting and Financial Development (AFD) Program, learning corporate finance, accounting, professionalism, executive presentation. I completed the 10 week boot camp and decided to become a system engineer. That led to me becoming a business analyst for GM Corporate Transportation Systems, and was the catalyst for my career as a project manager.
