My purpose is to help business executives realize their God-given calling and become better stewards of their God-given resources, primarily through living balanced and integrated lives. I'm executing this purpose through the Kingdom assignment of C12 Chairman, where I'm privileged to serve business owners and executives in the SC Midlands, Augusta, and the CSRA.C12 is the premier resource for Christian business executives desiring to fulfill their God-given calling to build great businesses for a greater purpose. Served on executive leadership team with lead responsibility for performance assurance across all business sectors, including Federal & Civilian, Energy, and Natural Security.

Provided management and operations support to URS affiliate organizations across the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) complex. Assignments included development of the Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF) Performance Improvement Plan, SRS Tank 12 Readiness Assessment team lead, Salt Disposal Unit (SDU) 3 and 5 Project Startup Readiness Manager, SDU 3&5 design gap analysis and extent of condition review, Advance Mixed Waste Treatment Project (AMWTP) ISM Independent Verification Review, Handford site performance assurance consulting, SRR Work Planning and Control program review, SRR Tank Farm and Effluent Treatment Facility (ETF) Integrated Independent Evaluation team lead (combined ISM, NQA-1 and Facility Evaluation Board assessment).

Served as the Program Director under the Project Execution and Integration (PEI) contract providing support to the Strategic Center for Coal (SCC) at NETL. Responsibilities included managing a team of engineers, scientists, and project managers in support of SCC R&D and major demonstration projects. Served on the executive management team for the Project Integration and Execution (PEI) contract under KeyLogic Systems. Specific areas of support covered Strategic Program Planning, Project Management and Execution, Solicitation and Selection Program, Communications and Outreach, Peer Review, Project and Portfolio Risk Management, Technology Readiness Assessment, Technology Transfer, Project Reviews and Assessment, Financial Assessments, Performance Metric Analysis and Reporting, Business System Development and Integration, and Training. The PEI team worked alongside SCC Federal Projects Managers and NETL Managers to provide oversight and management of over 500 active projects, some co-funded with various industry participants. Projects covered all NETL SCC Technology Areas such as; Gasification, Carbon Sequestration, Advanced research, Fuel Cells, Innovations for Existing Plants, Gasification, FutureGen , and Major Demonstrations and involved Industry Participants such as GE, Consol Energy, Alcoa, Air Products, Siemans, and Praxair; as well as several DOE National Laboratories and various major Universities.

Served as Business Operations Director for the Research and Development Support (RDS) organization at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). Support covered the full range of NETL Offices including; Strategic Center for Coal, Strategic Center for Natural Gas and Oil, Project Management Center, Office of Research and Development and Office of Strategic Planning and Analysis.

Empire Construction, Inc. – 5 yearsSenior Vice President and Chief Operations OfficerManaged a regional construction company. Served as corporate Construction Operations Officer with full business responsibilities including client development, development of business infrastructure, construction operations, strategic planning and budgeting. Managed multiple construction crews across the southeast, workforce totaling over 200 including project managers and construction crews. Projects covered industrial, commercial and residential. Instrumental in realizing business growth from $7M to $40M annual and grew work backlog to over $200M over a five-year period.

Department of Energy (DOE) contract servicesServed as a DOE senior consultant in the nation’s nuclear weapons defense program. Support included nuclear facility operations and waste processing. Specific responsibilities during this period included; nuclear facility operations management, operating procedures, operator training, work planning and control, hazard analysis, risk management, maintenance management, accident investigation and analysis, root cause analysis, lessons learned, best practices program, emergency planning, worker safety program, safety culture assessment, and performance assurance programs. Competencies developed and accomplishments during this period include:• Managed program development and directed implementation covering all aspects of hazardous operations and maintenance.• Lead over 50 hazardous operations assessments covering all aspects of hazardous operations and maintenance and process safety management programs.• Developed a performance assessment methodology designed to assess performance beyond compliance and gain insights into program effectiveness, methodology includes three aspects; document reviews, interviews and activity observations.• Developed lessons learned, trending, issues management and reporting program including an executive dashboard.• Lead numerous accident investigations and root cause analysis determinations.

Served as the DOE Facility Representative supervisor and Engineering supervisor through the Reactor Restart Program.

Served one tour of duty as a U.S. Navy Nuclear submarine officer. Training covered graduate level nuclear engineering and positions included; Officer of the Deck, Engineering Officer of the Watch, Damage Control Officer, and Nuclear RadCon Officer.
