Metals: Provided steel industry clients with comprehensive structural inspection programs and emergency structural inspection services when needed.Oil & Gas: Provided Marcellous/Utica clients with Inspectors, Project Managers, and Construction Managers for intra/inter-state pipelines, terminals, and tank farms.

Construction Procurement

Managed a construction procurement group in support of blast furnace relines, coke oven rebuilds, and various on-site maintenance forces. Provided executive management with performance metrics of construction force efficiency leading to continuous feedback on meeting customer specs, quality of services, project schedule, and P&L.

Engineering Department

Headed the administration of long term capital planning, annual budgeting, and monthly appropriations designed to optimize the operating/profitability of U.S.Steel's domestic facilities and european operations. In parallel, headed the procurement of engineering and structural inspection services for domestic operations. Played an integral role in creating a company-wide project deliver system known as Design For Start-Up, later named the U.S.Steel Project Deliver System (PDS), a project system that enforced accountability, at all levels of management, for the allocation of limited capital funds (Capex).

Engineering Department

Managed the capital appropriations and cost control functions for LTV Steel, including the steel industry merger between J&L Steel and Republic Steel.

Engineering & Construction Department

Provided Capital Project Cost Control function initially for the Aliquippa Works Engineering Department followed by expanded duties to include Pittsburgh Works and Campbell Works.
