Now a 4 Discipline Certified National Instructor. Currently teaching classes and presenting workshops in addition to a regular Podcasting series on Prepping for Emergencies. I set up a Speakers Bureau to present free programs on emergency readiness in our community, and I'm teaching a class again this Fall through Southern Oregon University's OLLI program. There are serious problems surrounding firearms. This includes mental health-related random attacks and violence. Add to that the significant increase in firearm purchases and gun ownership, and the forces driving both sides of that increase. I don't have all the answers. But I do know what is driving the disconnect. I know that misinformation and political agendas on both sides are not helping. The name-calling and "Jim Crow" tactics cause deeper and lasting divisions, not build discussion. The CDC changed the statistics on what constitutes a "mass shooting", lowering the number to raise the totals. How can we move forward from that?While I can't answer all the questions, I do know that education, focusing on Safety through programs for all first-time owners as well as young people and their parents is proven to be effective. Add to that adults, couples, and businesses and you have a good communication base. Now add in the faith-based groups wanting to learn self-defense. It all leads to positive communication among neighbors and within the community. Now we can discuss the fact everyone needs to understand the significance and impact of using a firearm. The goal is that through training, practice, and support we help you become someone who can safely protect yourself, your family, and those who cannot defend themselves. Efficiently. Ethically. Lawfully. I'm very soon expanding our "Bug Out Bag" program to YouTube with a video component. I'm also increasing the focus on Senior Citizens and their needs. Retired 11/1/22Part of the team at the Center for The Advancement of Teaching and Learning, (CATL) doing Moodle Support, Instructional Design, and Training. I'm also and active team member of the Curriculum Design Academy. We completed the Re-imagining the First Year group to redesign 100 and 200-level classes. We are now working on developing Innovation Communities that bring Faculty ideas to life. Until recently I was until recently producing a regular for a 2-year series of podcasts sharing faculty accomplishments with the campus and beyond.I am retiring on Nov. 1st.So long and thanks for all the fish.A wonderful group of positive faculty engaged and committed to doing a good job for the students. Talk about on target. I said 2020 would be a year of transition? I No Sh*t!! it was. As of March 2020 I was forced to close the business and took down the website. The obvious reason is of course, the COVID Pandemic. The safety and well being of others was, and still is, far more important.Be safe, believe in your own magic and thank you for 60 wonderful years.

I was called the Moodle Whisperer here at HSU, among other things. I led the development of the new LMS program to the successful launch in Spring of 2013 of version 2.3..We completed the successful 2.5 update for Spring 14, We then launched 2.8 for Summer of 15. I also was in charge of supervising the daily operation of our current system, the test and DEV sites and supervision of 6, including 2 staff and 4 student workers.I also lead the planning implementation and scheduling of all training sessions and development of materials for campus wide training. My video training series is used by a number of schools across the US and Canada. We serve faculty staff and students utilizing videos, online and web based sessions and live presentations. My team and I develop traditional and hybrid courses for faculty. I supervised the Turning Technologies Response-ware service and support team (Clickers) within Moodle. We support the Collaborate program as it is used within the LMS. I'm doing more consulting and presentations. A featured presenter at the Distance Learning Institute held at HSU in June of 11. Recently I Conducted Training in Texas for creating On Line Courses & Instructional Design in May 2013 and conducted a successful a Seminar in June 13, for the Humboldt County Office of Education on using an LMS in the k-12 environment. Additional projects were in the works for 2015.

Consultant: Project Manager, leading the development team of an International real estate sales web site. Project completed ahead of schedule and under cost on 31 March of 2010. They failed to pay me.

Taught Microsoft Office Applications suite. Taught HR Interviewing skills, Customer Service and Resume creation. Conducted classes both on site and at various client locations such as Nike. Top rated instructor locally and at the national level.(MCP and Certiport certified.)
