Originally hired to operate the lighting console for this highly technical live show. Promoted to Master Electrician within the first three months on the job. Continued to expand responsibilities to develop, manage and run the technology and video systems as the show evolved.• Ensure that all lighting, electrical, prop systems and crew are show-ready for 8 to 21 weekly performances.• Part of the Crew Supervisor Team coordinating cross-department production projects.• Continuously identify opportunities to develop improvements for specialized Blue Man Technology. Provide expertise and support as part of a multi-city team to revise and refine props and systems for use in current shows as well as shows under development.• Manage the seamless transition to new editions of the show, coordinating major changes in the midst of ongoing, live productions. Interfaced with NY-based Artistic and Technical Directors to install major revamps of the show – “Re-Wired” at the Charles Playhouse in 2004 and “5G” in 2010.• Train, schedule and supervise a crew of technicians capable of handling the deadlines and stress of live productions. Collaborate with the Production Stage Manager to conduct evaluations for full and part-time team members. Supervised the video segments of the show for two years, then mentored the Video Lead to take over that responsibility.• Set the annual department budget with the Resident General Manager and the Production Stage Manager.• Contribute to the planning and lighting direction of outside events, locally and abroad, working with organizers and production staff connected with Special Olympics, First Robotics, Boston Pops 4th of July Spectacular, Boston Celtics, and Fenway Park.

Special projects and tour events for Blue Man Productions:• Completed a three-week assignment for Blue Man Productions on board the Norwegian Cruise Lines Epic, providing interim coverage for the SFX department. Assessed the use of technology and advised on best practices, serving as liaison between Blue Man headquarters in New York and the cruise ship’s production department. Trained the incoming contractor to take over the SFX function. Currently building SFX properties for cruise and national tour productions. (2011-2012)• Traveled by bus across Canada and the U.S., covering dozens of cities in three months, handling SFX crew duties for The Complex Tour. Loaded in, teched and struck the show in major metro venues as well as smaller cities. (2003)• Traveled to Mexico City with Blue Man Productions as part of the technical staff to load in and run a live and taped version of the show for Televisa. (2000)
