We are a community that draws on our diverse cultural and religious heritage to promote peace, justice, and mutual understanding. In early 1960, Fr. James Doyle, CSC, arrived at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and proceeded to gather the regional peace community. In 1982, a group of North Branch Friends, Quakers, brought forth the notion of an Interfaith Service of Worship for Peace and gathered more than 500 people on Public Square, this led to the formal creation of the Interfaith Witess for Peace. On September 19, 1988, now incorporated as a non-profit agency, we celebrated the joyous Open House/Ribbon-cutting for the modest office of the Interfaith Resourse Center for Peace and Justice.

The Wilkes-Barre Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) was originally chartered on February 10, 1930, and re-activated in the year 1984 and is presently providing service to the community.

Upon purchase of a new spiritual home The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Wyoming Valley has decided to hire an Office Manager to handle general business for them. I have accepted this position and now offer my services in coordinating the various duties that are required in order to keep operations of the organization running smoothly. I also serve as a Board Member.

As a volunteer I solicit and sign sponsors, supporters, contributors, and vendors for the NEPA Pride Festival. I attend the organizational meetings and offer input and insight as to how the venue should be handled. The 2008 festival was above and beyond our expectations and I look forward to us outperforming ourselves once again this year.

Pride of NEPA is a LGBT Social and Social Action Group located in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

As an intern I arranged housing, education, medical treatment, information, and referral services for Veterans and their Families.I helped to develope "Release of Information Waivers", Graphic Advertising, Fundraising Efforts, and "Ex-Offenders Program" for incarcerated vets.

Duties as data coordinator included but were not limited to:Overseeing the entry of volunteer and voter data for the team.Attentively following all paperwork to be sure that all data is entered in a timely and orderly manner.Helping other team members pull appropriate call and walk lists.Serving as the liaison with the staff data contact.Collecting, consolidating and reporting results of the teams activity regularly.Training volunteers to do data entry and to use online calling tools.Participating in all voter contact activities.In addition to the above listed obligations: Assisted in organizing a festival in Kirby Park for The Luzerne Foundation at which the Obama campaign obtained high visibility, conducted voter registration drives at Wilkes University, Kings College and Luzerne County Community College on behalf of the LCCC Chapter of the NAACP, as well as, the LCCC Chapter of the ACLU.

Originally started as a company that flipped houses this self owned business adapted into a handyman/home improvement business focusing on the upgrading of peoples homes. I worked with social workers for people involved in New York's elderly care programs in order to fill the gap between insurance paying for the equipment needed for elderly clients to be released from nursing home/rehabilitation facilities and their installation which is not covered by medical insurance. I specialized in the building of wheel chair ramps, the installation of grab bars in tubs and showers, as well as basic moving of residents to new locations.
