I was a senior leader on the team supporting our loan origination systems. This included initiatives to improve the stability of the legacy systems while engineering their replacements. The role was cross-functional, including application design, production support, network engineering and infrastructure design. Vice President and General Manager/Chief Operating Officer. Full profit and loss responsibility for outsourcing and consulting division. Responsible for business development, application systems, network management, help desk, disaster recovery and daily computer operations. Platforms included mainframes, client server platforms, desktop systems, file and web servers. Application development includes PeopleSoft, e-Commerce, COBOL, RPG, Java and C++, with Sybase, Oracle and DB2. Major clients include Hilton Hotel Corporation, Borden Foods, Cedars-Sinai Health Care Systems, Brooks Brothers, Wickes Lumber, Hawaiian Airlines and Warner Bros. Annual budget of $48 million, staff of 180.

Senior Consultant, Multivendor Customer Services. Recruited to create new team to provide managerial and technical guidance to customers and internal project teams throughout the western United States. Tasked with major projects and accounts, with an emphasis on executive interaction. Performed executive briefings, developed detailed statement of work and launched program deliverables. Functioned as internal and external consultant, focusing on Fortune 100 and municipal accounts.

Promoted to head the company's End-User Computing department. This corporate function involved the management of all personal computers, Macintosh systems, work stations, local area networks, domestic and international data communications, imaging, computer security and the review of new technologies. Departmental responsibilities included justification analysis, custom application software development, packaged software selection and customization, software installation, user training, disaster recovery and the development of corporate standards. Previously managed the IT requirements for the international divisions, including theatrical distribution, home video, licensing and television units. Created systems used across all international locations. Major systems included online sales, accounting, inventory, distribution, advertising and budget control applications, payroll and general ledger applications, and a multi-national distributed processing sales reporting and e-mail system.

Recruited to create a computer auditing department with responsibilities in the film, television, theme park and ancillary businesses. This included detailed reviews of payroll, inventory, hotel management, group insurance and purchasing systems, scientific systems in use at the theme parks, and special and sensitive projects for senior management.

Team member assigned to a one-year contract to convert a major New York State agency from IBM to Honeywell computers. Duties included software conversion and staff supervision. Responsible for sales support and the training of internal and customer staff on this and other projects. Had full technical support responsibilities for upstate New York for several portions of the product line.

Computer Design Engineer (1975). Promoted to a team developing the software for the Trident missile, the newest generation of submarine missile systems. Major personal product was a real-time operating system and compiler, with an emphasis on computer simulations of weapon systems performance. Secret clearance.Product Service Representative (1973 to 1975). Responsible for support to field offices, including business applications and scientific systems. Led a multi-national team of engineers to provide software training to all field engineering personnel. Coordinated the testing of several major software packages with U.S. Navy personnel, and instructed naval staff in military facilities.
