About Bill Crews
As a visionary engineer and software developer I have demonstrated success throughout my career. I've had an exciting career in technology ranging from network engineering to software development, test engineering to automation development, and now mobile application development.Just as the technology connecting devices to the Internet has grown and changed, so has my skill set. I have continued to adapt my knowledge and skills covering a wide range of technical areas from networking (routers, switches, wireless), servers (Microsoft, Linux), databases (MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL), programming (C, C++, C#, Java, Objective-C, Swift), and mobile application development (iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8.1). I believe this wide range of knowledge and experience has allowed me to provide valuable feedback and expertise in designing products with insight from several different roles, producing quality products our customers use and appreciate.I see a future with apps not only on our mobile devices, but able to interact with materials and objects all around us. The industry is labeling this the Internet of Things (IoT), but I see this expanding beyond just interacting with devices like your thermostat, lights, and sprinkler systems. Advances in micro-sensors, beacons and switches are allowing us to develop applications which work with materials. For example, interactive glass that allows windows to chromatically darken, kitchen counter tops displaying video when a mobile device interacts with it, chemical sensors in paint allowing color changes, or pressure sensors in carpet allowing apps to distinguish if someone has fallen. It is an exciting time to be a mobile application developer and I’m looking for a company with individuals who share the same kind of enthusiasm as myself in developing tomorrow’s technology. I would welcome the opportunity to join such a team as an iOS developer to make apps that enhance and change our world for the better.Thank you,Bill Crews
