The year? 1990 something...The month? July.The day? I’m not entirely sure.But I know now, just as I knew then, that this very specific day would shape my entire life. Define my future. Set a chain of events in motion that I couldn’t reverse. I wanted to shoot myself.My hands trembled as I slid open the once locked drawer. My fingers seemed separated from my palms and on a mission entirely their own. My knees knocked as they collided with the teal carpet. My mouth wasn't dry, rather salivating as I reached into the cool cubby and pulled out the black case. A case, I wasn't allowed to touch. I clumsily opened it and pulled out my dad’s 8mm...Camcorder. That’s all it took. When most kids my age were focused on getting their sticky fingers on their father’s firearms, I was fixated on an entirely different trigger. I wanted to shoot myself… doing kickflips using my dad's Sony Hi8 camera.And I've had a camera in my hands ever since. Hello there, I am Bill.I am a videographer. A writer.
