Bill leverages his expertise and experience in Finance, Real Estate, Property Management, non-profit management and forensic accounting/analysis to provide consulting and/or project management services in these and related areas.

As a Board member, Bill volunteered his time to work with Community Development Corporation of Boston, Inc. on economic development for Boston’s inner city.

Bill served as a Senior Business and Financial Officer for Boston University Medical Campus (BUMC), an institutional community of over 6,000 faculty, staff, students and affiliates with annual revenue and expenditures of $500M. As a member of BUMC’s leadership team, he successfully balanced the needs of multiple constituencies while overseeing and supporting myriad non-academic programs/activities, engaging in strategic planning and building the Campus infrastructure. Bill was also extensively involved in managing shared services that support both BUMC and Boston Medical Center, the neighboring medical center. His accomplishments include the following.Bill was a key player in Campus development from finalizing institutional master plans to project management for construction of 1.5M square feet of research, educational, clinical, administrative, and residential space exceeding $350M.Bill negotiated and managed leases (in role of both landlord and tenant) ensuring sound business terms, assuring compliance with occupancy terms and identifying and addressing inaccurate or unreasonable occupancy costs initially assessed by landlords, resulting in millions of dollars in cost savings over the life of myriad leases.Bill developed, refined and interpreted institutional policies, such as global email dissemination, maintenance/cleaning guidelines and scheduling/use of instructional space, to assure compliance, effectiveness and efficiencies in support of the BUMC community.Bill coordinated with many ‘players’ to develop and successfully implement administrative/organizational restructuring that supported Campus growth and increased demands/complexity, while optimizing and often reducing staffing costs.Bill developed, implemented, and managed multiple ‘shared service’ agreements, such as parking, transportation, library services, and public safety, enabling comprehensive shared service activities at a reduced cost for BUMC and Boston Medical Center.

Bill directed the Authority’s accounting and financial reporting operation, handled financial review of development agreements, developed financial systems, and administered grants and contracts. He also served as a key member of the senior finance team that managed banking relationships, formulated investment strategy for the Authority’s funds, and issued major bonds to finance capital programs at Boston Logan International Airport, Hanscom Airfield, Tobin Memorial Bridge and the Port of Boston.
