I was a State Trooper for 26 years and served my last four years as the Colonel of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. As a public safety consultant with National Public Safety Group, we strive to help public safety agencies to understand, map and implement their software needs. Oversaw the largest state-wide public safety radio system in the country. Planned and guided training and deployment of 60-member Mobile Field Force to control crowds and secure critical equipment. Averted media escalation after canine unit disbanding due to abuse incident. Allayed staff concerns and turned declining morale around. Won approval for unit reinstatement by restructuring canine patrol policies.- Selected as Subject Matter Expert on the design of written exams/assessment exercises and facilitated the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 promotional boards.
