Focused on developing new features and fixes for Db2 data management solutions across platforms (Db2 for Linux, Unix, and Windows), with primary involvement in BLU Acceleration and Spatial Analytics. More information and highlights:- Delivered features to engine components including runtime, compiler, index manager, catalog, and codegen, as well as the ingest utility, BLU data, spatial analytics, and text search.- Worked on critical projects for temporal tables and the columnar data engine, including insert/update/delete, alter varchar, add column, and secondary indexes. Secondary index updates include revamping the concurrency code that were adapted by the rest of the engine.- Provided technical support directly to customers across many different components.- Reduced query times 30% as the Performance lead on Spatial Analytics. - Tackled an ingest utility update project for an elite customer and leading all phases from development through design and test with zero issues. - Authored a unit testing guide that became standard practice within the Development organization. - Selected to train and develop and junior team members, imparting best practices while building a collaborative culture.Awards Recieved:- Outstanding Technical Achievement Award from the office of the CEO for delivering the feature Secondary Indexes of Columnar Tables.- "Crush It" award from the Director for training a large group of new hires and getting them up to speed a month ahead of schedule.- Several other awards from the director for providing outstanding technical support, particularly with a focus on improving performance.

Earned awards for outstanding performance in software engineering on two different teams focused on Db2 for z/OS solutions, including serving as High Level Language Quality Technical Lead and QA Owner for many new features. Also worked directly with customers and bridged communication gaps between technical teams and non-technical audiences. Highlights:- Delivering top-quality features for new releases, implementing 200+ test cases, and fixing defects.- Partnering with C, C++, COBOL, and PL/I compiler development teams on solid coprocessor design and functionality.- Defining team roles and responsibilities and a test case review process.- Earning an award for driving quality during a precompiler design change for a high-profile, enterprise-level customer with challenging demands.

Implemented new features and fixed defects in three releases of DB2 OLAP Server and DB2 OLAP Integration Server. Highlights:- Creating a VSAM data set management utility for maintaining OLAP data and merging OLAP code back into Hyperion Essbase upon release.- Redesigning the install program and owning the SMP/E installation and service process.- Engaging with customers on product support and quick/effective issue resolution.
