Assisted the company in establishing data analytics platform based on KNIME and a proprietary machine-learning technology, developed analytic models based on the Siddiqi methodology for credit scoring and risk analysis for a variety of banks, foreign and domestic. Also helped QA department field a containerized load testing platform using JMeter.

Based on financial technology patent portfolio, designed and implemented web-mobile prototypein Node-JS to raise initial investments. Worked with offshore team to create alpha platform,established onshore engineering department to create go-to-market platform using Golang,React-JS, Couchbase and MySQL. Integrated with credit bureaus, financial information vendorssuch as Plaid, designed and implemented PCI-compliant web payments system, establisheddevelopment processes and coding standards, wrote template-driven code-generator forrules-driven security in data layers (both for Couchbase and MySQL), designed event loggingsystem for feeding analytic platforms and offer recommendation engines.

Designed analytic platforms for recommendation engines, social analytics, affinity analysis and rules-driven accounting systems. Fielded prototypes on both Windows/SQL Server and Linux/MySQL platforms. Worked with offshore teams in China and the Philippines in the evolution of prototypes into production-ready code. Also consulted with management on the successful application of Scrum and other agile methodologies in a geographically-distributed workplace.

Co-founder and co-inventor of core, patented technology in the application of decision engines and rule-based process automation to the online payments and collections space, built the company from my garage to being the world-wide leader in our segment. Technical highlights include the Chariot data-scripting and rules language, meta-object model for business metadata and website content, with data inheritance and change propagation, ICMS tool for the deployment, management, runtime configuration and monitoring of multi-agent, distributed systems in a secure, multi-host environment, SQL Migrator tool for differencing of SQL objects and SQL data and generating migration/synchronization scripts based on difference reports, managed team of 8 engineers.

Reported to CTO, worked with VP Engineering to evaluate technology platform pre-launch, helped to design and implement new version of USBX website platform using standard technology (ASP, SQL Server, JavaScript), created web-tier content caching technology in JavaScript that reduced SQL Server load by 50%, established SCM procedures and coding standards, managed team of 7 developers in achieving USBX goal of becoming the largest online business portal for connecting business sellers with buyers.

Worked with the Chief Scientist and VP of Engineering to create a commercial product architecture, code-named "AgentBase", built on the company's proprietary agent-based modeling, simulation and analysis technology. Accomplishments included the invention of Agent-Messaging Protocol (AMP), a format for inter-agent communication in a distributed multi-agent systems, and the integration of COM with SmartLisp, the AgentBase native scripting language. The demo program for AgentBase was a stock-picking program (Deep Green) that was so effective, the company became a hedge-fund and dropped plans to productize the technology.UPDATE: As of mid-2009 under the name Analytic Information Server (AIS), the foundation technology of "AgentBase" has been open-sourced on SourceForge. Worked with Program Management group to define Y2K product line, designed StarBase Y2K Compliance Management System (CMS), leveraging core StarBase SCM technology to create a unique offering to enterprise clients, designed and implemented database schema analysis, transformation and import utility (StarTrans) for rapidly consolidating department-level Y2K compliance databases into CMS, licensed my proprietary application framework (VBML -- Visual Basic Meta Language) to StarBase in order to facilitate fast time-to-market, managed a team of developers and testers in development and implementation to initial Fortune 100 clients.

Working with a variety of clients, I consulted on the design and implementation of Client-Server applications for the financial services sector, as well as agent-based data mining for direct marketing and banking client applications.

Responsible for evangelizing StarBase's next-generation application development technology, code named "Orion". Also worked with the StarBase consulting group as a lead software engineer on projects for clients such as Bank of America, Litton Industries, etc.
