I joined SCORE Chicago in January 2010 after I retired from Plum Contracting. From 2010 through 2014 I served as Vice Chairperson of the South Area. I served as First Vice Chairperson from 2014 to 2015.I served as Chairperson from 2015 to 2017. I am currently Resource Counselor and Past Chairperson of SCORE Chicago. For me, SCORE is very personal, it has become a (two fold) relationship of love.Firstly, my SCORE group of 'Valued Believers'​ has ignited my growth as a person and as a professional. Those 'Valued Believers'​ are fellow SCORE members who place my interest above their own. They always and forever offer conscious and constructive critique of my personal and business activities. SCORE folks recognize my potential for growth when I may not. They invite me into their circle of friendship and professionalism. They help me do the heavy lifting. Their skills match my needs. SCORE membership will bring you into the world of business education and professional growth in an ever enhancing arena. SCORE really only asks one thing of each of us: Open your mind and let the stimulus trigger your hidden potential. Become a"'Valued Believer" for yourself and a "Bold Believer". Let your voice be heard! My other relationship, is of course, to the SCORE clients we serve.....SCORE is bound to a code to serve all who come. No prequalification is placed on any client. I look upon the interactions with clients as a journey of growth for both parties. Many entities offer business education classes as does SCORE. However, I believe that SCORE benefits to clients are a cut-above from a personal standpoint. As a mentor I look forward to the interchanges that fuel the relationship.
