Having stepped back from upper management roles twenty years ago to spend more time with my then young children, I’ve nevertheless accumulated a wealth of business, technical, and organizational knowledge and experience. With my children now fully grown I am again receptive to any level of contribution that meets the needs of my employer. While earning an MBA from Carnegie Mellon, I became passionate about strategy, especially marketing and manufacturing, and developed a love for “drawing straight lines” to align IT activities, processes, systems, etc. with the business’ strategic metrics. I also love the transformation – the journey – required to achieve that alignment. I surround myself with smart, talented people and want my colleagues and reports to challenge me when they think I’m wrong and then for all of us to get fully behind decisions once they are made.
