I have over 20 years of experience in industry , 14 years of that working in the operations side of Oil & Gas.I feel that my career has come full circle from being a part of Drilling and Completing Natural Gas Wells in Northern B.C, to now supplying that same gas to customers and communities on Vancouver Island. Currently, I hold the position of LNG Plant Operator with FortisBC , I'm a member of the operations team at the Peak Shaving facility Mt.Hayes located near LadySmith, B.C. on Vancouver Island. We provide low carbon fuel to BC Ferries and provide a buffer for the natural gas supply in the pipeline system keeping costs down for our customers. We make & store LNG onsite and have the ability to re-gasify back to the pipeline or truck off site.Previous to operations , I worked 7 years on the service side of Oil & Gas in completions as a Completions Specialist at Baker Hughes, improving reservoir performance and providing technical support for our customers by using various specialized down hole tools, (i.e. Production packers, plugs, service tools), creating and maintaining good customer relations.If you catch me outside of work, I enjoy adventure motorcycling in the backcountry where I live on Vancouver Island - and I’m an avid hockey fan!I’m always eager to connect with old friends and work colleagues. I was transferred from the Boundary Lake Gas Plant/field to take part in the new construction and assist in operations.-Gas Gathering and Compression/Dehydration Sites, Water Injection facility.-Operating high pressure sweet un-conventional Montney wells and sour conventional gas wells.-Leading facility and well site startup / shut downs. -Preparing written documents on maintenance as well as operating procedures.-Proving competency evaluations on contractors and employees. -Daily Production documentation on Avocet, Fieldview and GPAS.-Adjusting equipment, valves, pumps and controls as well as process equipment daily.-Use of SCADA, Outlook, Excel and Word daily. -Participating in PM’s and entering notifications for “work requests”. ( CMMS ) -Organizing and completing turnarounds with many services.-Prepare and maintain a work schedule while maintaining a safe working environment.
Process Operator 3
Working in the Boundary Lake Gas Plant & Gathering Sites - Fort Saint John, B.C.-Sour Light Oil (Field & Battery) - Pump jacks, Treaters, VRU, Tank farms, Pigging-Sour and Sweet Gas gathering/compression. 30+ wells that fed four compressor sites.-Soap and Inhibitor injection. Plunger lift systems, Line heaters, Pipeline pigging. Boundary Lake Gas Plant I started and finished each day at the plant where I provided operational/maintenance support for the Shift and Chief Engineers as needed, during this time I was mentored in the process and operation of the equipment. My activities at the plant were assisting the shift engineers with their rounds, logging pressures, temperatures ,testing PH levels and spending time tracing out & learning the liquid stabilization and regen sections .

My duties as a Tool Service Technician were:-Providing technical support and overseeing the rigging up and running of various specialized down hole tools at the well site during drilling / work over rig operations. -Supervision of the related processes and procedures associated with setting and retrieval of the product in the well bore. -Knowledge of hydraulic processes. -Knowledge of completion techniques to advance reservoir performance. - Often performing warehouse duties and taking calls when not running jobs. This Job was an on call 24/7 fast paced environment that allowed me to work closely with other completion services in many different oil and gas fields from my home base in Fort Saint John, B.C. to Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories.
