• Created and implemented all administrative, operations, and maintenance procedures to operate facility for reliability and availability. Result in greater than 98% availability during initial operation of facility.
• Responsible for P&L on a 20-year, $138MM gas turbine service agreement.
• Communicated to power marketers and dispatchers on day-ahead natural gas purchases and hourly electric generation forecasts. Developed process to minimize financial impact on owner during startup of facility.
• Recruited, hired and trained all facility personnel, including 6 salaried and 18 hourly employees

• Provided Assistant Plant Manager duties for a $60MM, 62MW combined cycle facility (Portside Energy) utilizing GE Frame 6B technology.
• Advised owner of capital investments to improve operation and profitability of facility, including payback analysis and capital budget preparation. Proposed and implemented system upgrade that saved owner approximately.
• Supervised technical activities for maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical & electrical equipment (gas turbine, steam turbine, generators, boilers, water treatment and assorted balance of plant equipment).
• Determined energy production for facility and established 1-week forward natural gas consumption estimation process that is communicated to gas purchaser. Resulted in estimated gas usage consistently within 2% of.

• Provided global services for gas & steam turbine control system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Worked closely with factory engineering to provide design feedback on new turbine and combustion.
• Developed Dry Low NOx (DLN) combustion training program that is utilized by the GE Training & Development Center. Program covers all gas turbine frame sizes in GE production.
• Implemented $1MM controls and combustion upgrade for Gaylord Container Corporation.
• Led the start-up for two power plant projects in Egypt (Damanhur & Mahmoudia).
