After 23 years of doing HW & SW in the technical industry, I have now made the move to steel fabrication in the construction industry. I am the new owner of KB Fabrication and Welding. KB is an existing small business that focuses on structural and ornamental steel customization. I love seeing the steel transform from basic steel to the finished product. I especially like helping the walk-in customers that just has a problem they need help solving. I plan to apply my business thinking, mechanical engineering, and principles of working hard and smart to the steel fabrication industry. I did construction through college and am glad to be returning to it. I have 10 employees that have been with the previous company that are staying with me to make this work. I appreciate what Kelly Bartlett, the previous owner, has done to set a solid foundation of clients and work processes for the shop and front office. We will continue with jobs in structural and ornamental steel but will look for product lines that can fill in the gaps. One option is the ATV rack I have a patent on but there are many possibilities.Every day is an adventure whether we are bidding jobs, managing the projects, fabricating the solution, or installing the end results. I have found the slogan my daughter coined to be true…Steel makes life bearable
