The HMI Apprentice Program is a professional residency in traditional and outdoor education for college graduates. Apprentices are immersed in an intense, semester-long seminar that combines formal lessons in educational techniques and philosophies of outdoor education, with a hands-on apprenticeship with the HMI Semester. Specifically, apprentices.

SEAD is a summer enrichment program that brings high school students from under-resourced high schools throughout the country to Dartmouth for three consecutive summers. The Student Director is a Dartmouth undergraduate who works with the program's continuity and strategic planning throughout the academic year, and leads the staff of 16 undergraduates.
