I am a recent graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University in Computer Science. I initially took Computer Science because I enjoyed creating things such as programs or scripts as I always loved the sense of achievement after seeing the final product. I also ended up taking some data courses in uni and soon found an interest in data science. However, I didn't get to go too in depth in the data field so I decided to do a BrainStation bootcamp for data science to further my knowledge and gain hands-on experience in the field. The computer science background gave me a strong foundation in some of the tools that are used in data science such as Python and SQL as well as giving me a mindset of a programmer such as problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn.
