This includes:-Control and supervision of operations by the appropriate numbers of trained staff-Monitor, Inspect and maintain the performance of plant and equipment with due regard to its designation and function.-Implement the effective management systems necessary for safe operations, site license compliance and other regulatory compliance, including a corrective action process to address weakness.Deliver the plant or project deliverables or objectives as defined in the Lifetime Plan, Project Plan and/or the Master Production Schedule. This includes delivery of scope, schedule and cost.Make significant and sustained operations improvements by encouraging and leading your people using the Standard Nuclear Performance Model.

To provide specialist knowledge and expertise on all documentation and implementation associated with safe systems of work and to ensure the effective lifetime management of the documentation within the facility. To oversee and approve all safe operations on plant including risk assessments, isolation verification and ensuring ssow procedures are followed.

To develop and deliver training courses in safe use of Respiratory Protective Equipment and PPE such as whole body PVC/paper suits and self contained air fed PVC suits for use in non breathable atmospheres.

The principle function of the Health Physics Monitor is to provide a radiological safety and monitoring service to customers in order to meet business needs to defined standards. The Role is to monitor radiation dose rates, personnel, surface and airborne contamination, recording the levels detected and responding accordingly. Health Physics Monitors may also be part of the emergency response arrangements.
