I am an architectural designer from New York with a Masters of Architecture in Urban Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.I currently work in Austin, Texas at Nelsen Partners.I previously worked for 4 years at RKTB Architects in New York, overseeing design and construction of various projects ranging from public school renovations to brand new multi-family housing. In my final year, I worked on a new Universal Pre-K school for 100 children in The Bronx. This involved everything from schematic design to bi-weekly construction meetings, where I was active in designing a stimulating environment for children to learn in, getting drawings approved, resolving conflicts between various trades and ensuring the quality of work on site. In 2016 I enrolled at the Harvard Graduate School of Design to pursue my passion for the role of design in shaping the built environment beyond the building envelope. In my 2 years in the Urban Design program I worked on a range of projects, from a speculative move of New York's Garment District to Brooklyn, to a real-world 'smart-city' being developed outside of Mumbai, India. In my final semester, we re-focused the design process to focus on social values to create a more just city in St. Louis, Missouri. I am excited to translate what I have learned into action, and embrace the complexity and coordination required to make meaningful impacts that will improve the quality of our cities for as many as possible.
