After winning Sydney Pedestrian Hackathon in September 2016 amongst 200 participants, our team of four won a scholarship as well as an internship to NSW Data Analytics Centre (DAC). It has been an exciting experience to work for DAC, dealing with big data and working with like minded people on a day to day basis. In DAC, there is a unique opportunity to work with government data and in many occasions, merge the multiple data sets from different agencies to gain insights that will benefit the people of NSW. It has placed me in a unique and rare position to be involved in projects that benefit masses.
