About Sydney C.
I am an entry-level biologist who values learning from diverse experiences and individuals. I strive for efficiency and excellence in my tasks, putting effort into maximizing the quality and output of my work. Through my education and my experience as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE), an Environmental Health and Safety specialist (EHS specialist), and a Third-Party Administrator Claims Adjuster, I have build a strong skill set; most notably an ability to adapt as needed, communicate productively with others, analyze and apply data and research, and a motivation to learn and understand my environment. My work as an ECE allowed me to hone my communication skills. I interacted consciously through self-reflective practices with a diversity of children, families, and peers to provide a classroom culture that was inclusive of all. There were many trainings and opportunities throughout my ECE career to build interpersonal skills, experience that I applied as an EHS student employee with a leadership role. While I loved being an ECE, it was satisfying to learn about the sciences. Science courses that I attended for my ECE degree nudged me towards a teaching style that was intertwined with STEM themes. After struggling to make ends meet as a low-income ECE and single mother, I went back to school to obtain my B.S. in General Biology with a minor in Molecular Biology. I am a determined, passionate, and independent individual that will accomplish what I set my sights on. Professionalism: Energetic, positive and professional demeanor in my interactions with all; positive and constructive communication within a team, bringing an open-mind and situation-aware attitude; ability to work independently or with others to complete tasks; Clean organization of data, files, and filing systems; ability to learn about a topic or program quickly and thoroughly;Science-based experience: Comprehension of mathematics, chemistry, biology, and physics concepts that are rooted in evolution, genetics, biochemistry, ecology, and microbiology; efficient data collection and statistical analyses via Excel and RStudio; Use of various lab techniques including basic safety and sanitary procedures, proper handling of lab equipment and specimens, attention to accuracy and precision, organized and ethical journaling, slide-preparation, staining, tissue culture, antibody tests (ELISA, WB), extraction, electrophoresis, PCR, and more.

Environmental Health Safety Specialist
Altium Packaging by policy does not have Safety and Health Specialists hired that work at the location of industry. They have regional representatives that (mostly) remotely supervise safety and health with their region of locations through communication with management.
