As the project manager of an EU Horizon 2020 project I am responsible for reporting and communicating with different representatives from the European Commission, and for aligning research interests with exploitation interests, due to the nature of the project. Among other, these responsibilities include:- Communicating effectively with 23+ partners from 11 different countries including China by checking in on progress, upcoming deliverables, milestones and meetings, as well as negotiating budget and time resources- Quick reaction and resolution of ad-hoc emergencies, by balancing out priorities of other ongoing tasks- Consultation and negotiation of ethics requirements with specific partners and respective documentation- Maintenance of the project's internal platform, publication records and newsfeeds- Drafting of (bi-)annual scientific and financial reports for submission to the funding body (European Commission), as well as targeted R&D articles (for a full list, see: https://forschung.boku.ac.at/fis/suchen.person_publikationen?sprache_in=de&menue_id_in=102&id_in=147149)- Organisation of project meetings, workshops for end-users, industry stakeholder and academia

Within WoodK+, the competence center of wood and wood-based products in Austria, I was responsible for the calculation and interpretation of the water footprints of textile fibres made out of cotton and wood, to analyse the sustainability of their production in different countries. Among others, this included:- Calculation and interpretation of water footprints of fibre from beech, spruce, eucalyptus and cotton according to different methods (Life Cycle Assessment, International Standardization Organization, Water Footprint Network, Eco-Factor).- Collection and organization of information on water use, growing patterns, production cycles, harvest cycles, etc. of beech, spruce, eucalyptus and cotton by using MS Excel, GIS and Google Earth.- Modelling yield, growing patterns and water use of forest products based on methods from agro- /forestry economics and hydro-meteorology. - Close collaboration and communication with industry partners and stakeholders.

As a JPA in the Safeguards unit of the East Asia and Pacific, Operation Services unit, my main responsibilities was with assisting the safeguards team in the daily work, incl. (a.o.):- Evaluating project proposals and project implementation progress at different stages against the World Bank's environmental and social safeguards requirements- Participation in project reviews to assist project teams in the implementation of required safeguards material and documents- Support supervision missions of infrastructure and climate adaptation projects in Kiribati and Tuvalu - Data collection and analysis for safeguards summaries and case studies on specific environmental safeguards issues (e.g. Philippines Safeguards portfolio review, Portfolio of Pacific Island Countries, Portfolio of Community Driven Development operations in the EAP Region)- Support to the development and analysis of questionnaires for assessing the needs and expectations from in-field staff regarding our unit's support- Assisting in the formatting and layouting of presentation material for internal training on safeguards requirements
