As a student at an incredibly new school, it is up to us to propose and lead all clubs, including honor societies. However, something I observed is that our school lacked a place for like-minded and focused students planning to go into technological fields to develop their skills and to access unique opportunities for learning.Therefore, I worked to create, from scratch, a new chapter of the National Technical Honor Society at WECIB. I worked with faculty at my school to recruit new members and create an application process to find students who met NTHS' membership criteria. I worked to plan engaging general membership meetings to teach my peers valuable, applicable skills. Finally, I organized certification study groups to help my peers study to pass certification exams offered at my school.

In Summer 2023, I began my first job at a Cold Stone Creamery store in Parkside Town Commons. This was a unique and first exposure to the professional world. I worked with my colleagues to provide excellent quality service and products to all customers. I went above and beyond and worked with others to maintain standards of cleanliness and organization while my supervisor was away traveling. I quickly learned how to complete complex tasks, created standardized closing and opening procedure checklists, and practiced communication and customer service skills

I was a founding student at the Wake Early College of Information & Biotechnologies. During our first year, my peers entrusted me with the role of Freshman Class President. During my tenure, I went above and beyond at a time where many procedures and customs had not been established to plan various events. I was chosen to lead the planning process for a Book Drive that raised nearly 1,000 books for students affected by Florida hurricanes, our school's first after-school community event (a Fall Festival), and a Valentine's Day Candy Grams fundraiser. I also played a pivotal part in planning various day-to-day activities, such as spirit weeks, which helped our school develop its culture.
