Building software for a quantum computer.Previously, I worked on the AWS Center for Quantum Networking, as their first software hire.

Research focus: Strongly-correlated fermions in homogeneous traps. We trap atoms at nanokelvin temperatures in boxes made of laser light to study exotic phases of matter.- Research resulted in a first-author publication in Nature, and many conference presentations. Two first-author papers in PRL picked for the editors' suggestion.- Designed an all-optical homogeneous trapping potential for fermions.- Built an interactive GPU-accelerated numerical simulation of quantum gases using CUDA and OpenGL. Currently being used to prototype future experiments during the COVID-19 lab shutdown.- Architected and implemented a REST API for image data using Django + Postgres + GCP. Integrated into a data analysis pipeline using jupyter notebooks. - Created a microfabrication process for photolithography of protected silver masks on AR-coated windows. Brought down costs by two orders of magnitude.- Designed a new experiment using Solidworks.
