I am a Persian Chef, born and raised in Iran and a resident of the UK since 1999. Following my graduation from university, I embarked on a 20-year career as a secondary school teacher, during which I authored a GCSE Persian textbook endorsed by Oxford Cambridge Recognition (OCR), providing a valuable resource for students across the UK. Seeking a career change, I pursued professional cooking and baking courses while simultaneously opening the doors of my London home to host 'Supper Club' events.My vision was to craft and share culinary delights that celebrate the rich flavours and philosophies of Persian culture while embracing innovation and healthfulness. Recognised as "Student of the Year" in both courses, my Supper Club garnered acclaim, earning a feature in the London Evening Standard's London's Best Supper Clubs. Over the years, I have hosted hundreds of Persian Seasonal Supper Club events at various prestigious venues in London, including Soho Houses, museums, and the Boathouse.My recipes have been showcased in various media outlets and publications, including the Bake For Syria book published by Unicef, followed by hosting my own weekly TV cooking show, 'Bita's Kitchen'.Bita's Persian Supper Club events aim to unite the two fundamental aspects of a fulfilling life: connection and food. By bringing guests together around a single table, we celebrate the importance of nourishing and gourmet cuisine within the framework of a connected and culturally enriched community experience.I am eager to explore opportunities for ambitious and conscious work, as well as further development, in both London and Zurich.
