About Biyeni Eusebio

People always ask, “What do you want to be?” To their dismay, I never give a single answer because I desire to maintain my youthful attitude of growth, exploration, and dreaming big which is heavily praised when you are a child but scolded when you enter college. Instead of stating a specific answer for what I want to be, I would like to share significant aspects of my character:Entertainment is my deepest passion. Growing up, watching films with my immigrant household had two important impacts on my life. It allowed us to spend memorable moments together as well as learn the English language in an entertaining way. It pushed me to participate in theatre for seven years of my life, manage musicals, direct plays, and direct my own film. Without the art of film and television as well as entertainment in general, I would not understand the importance of building family-like relationships, always expressing creativity, or portraying meaning through art.I am a conversationalist. English was my fourth language resulting in a stutter that took many years of dedication and practice to overcome. Now, many people know me because of my conversational skills allowing me to be the first to initiate conversations, understand the importance of asking questions to learn, and have confidence in the words I do say. This has led to multiple opportunities like giving speeches in front of crowds of hundreds, creating bonds among others, and standing up for what I believe in an educated manner.Social impact is my fuel. Because of my upbringing as an African-American woman in a low-income and single-parent household, I know what it feels like to have people stand against me just because of where I come from. Despite that, I have learned to be dedicated to the process, have confidence, and use my failures as a tool for success in the future. I have spent my whole life aiding the under-served through my leadership of a non-profit directed towards social impact, leading projects that directly help my communities, and devoting my time to mentor others that desire success as a minority. Being voted, “Most Likely to Change the World,” as a senior superlative, it is my purpose to actualize the title.I hope to find an opportunity in my professional career that will encourage the mindset of continuous dreams and exploration while expanding on the things that make me who I am. I am open to all opportunities that can help me become a well-rounded and creative leader who is ready to accept all challenges and experiences with a passionate fervor. Thank you for your time!
