The product included front and back office systems and 3rd party integrations to SMS Gateways, Vehicle Routing Systems, CRM and Accounting Systems.

BagsUp took a cloud based, big data approach to leverage social networks to recommend places to stay, eat and play. My role was to work as part of the founding team to envision, design and deliver a very unique Social Travel Product.One of only 10 companies selected from over 700 applicates to participate in the Microsoft Accelerator in Seattle where we were ‘hot-housed’ in everything from Cloud Computing, Big Data and building a rapidly growing company.Also developed extensive technical and operational experience of the Microsoft Cloud Computing platform.

Founded to aggregate and distribute tour information in the travel industry. The system connected with over 100 tour and activity companies globally and was licensed to over 4,000 travel agents. As a co-product owner, I worked with the team to define the commercial need and envision the product to fill that need. The role included negotiating agreements with suppliers to join the system and with enterprise travel agencies to license our technology for their business. A key part of the role required understanding the customers' needs, building the product roadmap over the life of the product and balancing customer needs with the businesses goals.

I was the Product Owner for the International ‘Air Tickets’ product. This was the focal point of a $50m joint venture between the company and its 10 joint venture airlines as well as the business units in Asia and Europe.The role required developing and managing the product plan from scratch for the joint venture, negotiating alignment on product direction between internal and external stakeholders.Driving consensus within the group on best use of resources for the budget allocated. Co-ordination with US-based colleagues on the global product plan to ensure technology alignment and resource allocation. Work with the technical teams in Sydney and Dallas to turn the business requirements into technical projects and work with the architecture team to develop solutions to the complex problems of the region.

We pioneered the first automated flight booking systems in the Asia Pacific region. Unknown to us at the time were the significant technical challenges that awaited us trying to build this product in our region.As a Technical Cofounder & Product Manager my role was to work as part of the founding team to analyse the problem space, build the business requirements, then design, build, test and launch the product. I lead the licensing negotiations with companies like Qantas and ultimately Travelocity (Sabre Corporation) who acquired the company.

Responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of the Mars Food international logistics operations ex Australia.This includes managing Air, Sea and international ground movements and co-ordinating schedules between the manufacturing team and logistics providers. Also responsible for negotiation and management of contratual rates and participation in Mars international logistics steering committee meetings.
