In this position, I have a resource classrooom for K-5 students at a private school in Arizona. This is done remotely.

Online/Remote

I currently teach a "functional" Special Education classroom that consists of students in grades K-5 who are identified as InD, or Intellectually Disabled. They have varying abilities and age equivalents, and work on Special Diploma Standards, or Access Points, as opposed to regular education standards. Diversity, differentiation, and modifications, along with the passion and love for this population help to make our classroom more like a family.

I currently teach a class of low cognitive students classified as Intellectually Disabled in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade.

Remote In Colorado

In this position, I was a resource teacher in a high school setting with a caseload of over 50 high school students. I taught an ELA class for 9th grade, as well as bi-weekly intervention sessions for all students on my caseload.

Florida

I did several batches of questions based on state standards for Pearson's website for use by teachers throughout the state. I also worked on portfolio grading for teachers coming to the end of their educational journey.

I taught Master's and Bachelor's level courses to students looking to achieve a degree in Special Education.

Panama City, Florida Area

During my time at Sylvan, I went from being a tutor, to Lead Tutor, to part time Director of Education. I then also led their school based tutoring program for several years before a change in management led to my leaving the company.
