I wrote and reported long-form feature articles profiling Division I sports teams and players for the University of Michigan publication with over 10,000 daily print readers, 50,000 Twitter followers and 230,000 unique online visitors monthly. In more than 100 highly-read articles, I covered a multitude of varsity teams and was selected as a beat writer for both the 2016-17 Michigan softball and 2017-18 Frozen Four hockey teams. Besides writing, I presented new initiatives and affected changes to the paper’s bylaws at weekly management desk meetings, advancing the strategic direction for the 129-year publication. Finally, I spearheaded a new initiative that advised and assisted more than 30 incoming writers each semester on early rounds of edits and developing story ideas, doubling writer retention.

I created branding, marketing and licensing opportunities for celebrity clients and influencers within the sports and entertainment industry, prompting over 50 potential sponsorships. Also, I reviewed dramatic and comedic TV pilots and feature films, providing constructive feedback for 15-plus clients and agents before sending scripts to top literary executives. Finally, I updated resumes and biographies for 60 clients, improving actor selling points and allowing for strategic correspondence between the agency and production companies.

I performed production duties for field, sketch and studio shoots, assisting with satirical pieces seen by over 1.4 million nightly viewers and 28 million social followers. Also, I transcribed and logged B-roll footage using Nesbit’s Media Library System and Avid software, readying field and studio producers with over 500 archived video reels. Finally, I oversaw the audience check-in process, ticket distribution and seating for a live-to-tape, late-night show, managing the flow of approximately 200 daily audience members.

I conducted research and connected with prospective and current clients, from non-profits to Fortune 500 companies, pinpointing corporate sponsorships opportunities. Also, I identified and analyzed marketing trends and business models, providing data to a diverse portfolio of clients and assisting with brand and organizational development. In addition, I drafted, designed and edited proposals for potential sponsors and clients, helping convert pitches into cross-promotional partnerships. Finally, I organized and maintained a CRM system with updated information about company outreach, briefing clients and colleagues about progress and suggesting strategic next steps.

I oversaw daily operations of FYSH (First Year Students of Hillel), the largest Michigan Hillel student organization. Through balancing the budget, working with Hillel staff and creating constant contact with over 400 freshmen, I was ultimately solely responsible in helping ensure the club's success and the success of the first years on campus. I supervised and collaborated with a 15-person committee to plan, advertise and execute monthly activities directed at first-year students, increasing event attendance and retention by 200%. Finally, I led strategic planning discussions to brainstorm event ideas with the committee and began the Freshman Experience Initiative, a leadership training program for over 30 first years looking to develop leadership skills within Hillel and throughout the Michigan community.

As last year's top seller in the University of Michigan annual partnership program, I developed and executed a self-made strategic marketing plan to sell Detroit Pistons’ home game tickets to on- and off-campus individuals and groups. Since, I generated ticket sales 250% above goal and over $600 in revenue in the first 60 days. Last year, I managed a personal sales website, utilizing social media as an effective marketing tool to attract, influence and convert potential buyers; this in turn grew sales over digital platforms that many customers had never used before. Finally, I communicated with team management about my sales progress and consumer behavior trends specific to millennials, providing my personal insight on best-used tactics.

I worked around the clock one-on-one with middle- and high-schoolers with special needs during the summer months. By facilitating friendships among campers, encouraging confidence and independence, and integrating the children into the overnight camp community, I was able to succeed admirably in the most rewarding job I've had to date. This all culminated in me being awarded 2016 Staff Member of the Year, recognized out of nearly 200 counselors. I also informed others in camp about disabilities and methods to best include special needs children in wide range of daily activities, creating group presentations and orchestrating one-on-one conversations with peers. Lastly, I assumed full responsibility for both special needs campers and additional 15-plus boys in cabin, ensuring the children's general well-being and safety.

For six years, I led a weekly religious school service for fifth and sixth grade students, focusing on Jewish culture, prayers, and morals and values. Over the span, I was recognized countless times for the hard work and dedication shown for serving the longest-ever tenure for student service leader at my synagogue.
