My coffee journey began by accident, as most do. I had a life altering pour-over at Water St. Coffee Joint in Kalamazoo Michigan. I asked the barista if they put blueberries in my coffee, he laughed and responded "Just beans and water." I would have never predicted where one cup of coffee could possibly take me.An obsession began to take root in my personal daily routine. These roots sprouted into my professional career. As it stands today:I'm formally trained and certified in latte art under the Hiroshi Sawada Training Program.- Chicago, ILAt Pilot Project Brewery, I consulted with C-suite executives to build a thriving coffee program from the ground up.- Chicago, ILI currently manage Seattle Coffee Gear. In addition to ensuring consistent YoY growth, training a sales team of 7, and coordinating the daily grind of a high-end retailer I have worked collaboratively and independently to build out new programs (such as their Espresso 101 Course) to train and educate big staff and clients. - Palo Alto, CACoffee is my life, and it is essential to the life of many others: farmers, harvesters, local economies, transporters, green bean selectors, roasters, professional coffee buyers, cafe owners, Q graders, baristas, home enthusiasts, coffee addicts and so many more. I want to have my hand in ensuring the coffee world is a better place for everybody involved, and my journey is just getting started.
