My first exposure to graphic design was by accident. My advisor signed me up for a Graphic Arts class in high school, thinking I would enjoy it more than a regular art class. I absolutely hated it. I had never used any Adobe program before and I couldn't get the hang of how anything worked. I hated drawing with the pen tool and every time I tried to edit a photo, something went wrong. I begged my parents to let me switch classes but they forced me to stick with in. One day it all clicked, and I was hooked. I went on to take three more Graphic Art classes in high school and I majored in Graphic Design at Benedictine University.In high school I helped run a print shop in the school. I participated and supervised design, preproduction, production, and postproduction. In college I was a intern for Lodge Management Group. I collaborated with the Marketing department to create promotions and design materials for promotions. I also work as a freelance designer and work on projects such as book cover designs, wedding materials, and logo design.
